Tuesday Awards Show
I went to the Tuesday Awards Show because they were handing out the Lions for the Entertainment Lions for Sport and many other categories gold winners and Grand Prix winners. I enjoyed watching the campaigns the brands crafted using creativity like the CeraVe and Kevin Durant collab where they used humor the aspect of Kevin's ashy legs going viral and used that to promote their lotion, where he earned "The New Face of Legs" title. Another campaign I remember vividly from the award show is the 1,000 Sponsors sponsorship jersey from Peru Club Deportivo Municipal where the jersey has a bunch of sponsors on it that will not only help support the team but help out these businesses that were struggling. I loved seeing the change from before where there wasn't much business to the jersey being crafted to fit a bunch of sponsors in little squares on the jersey and then the businesses flourishing with life.
Inside the Jury Room
I didn't attend an Inside the Jury Room talk as I had talks I wanted to go to at the same time, but I did go back and watch from the one I missed and was interested in, which was the PR Lions and I found their judging criteria very interesting which is earned first, which isn't just for awareness, but impact and culture as it wasn't forced but it was meant to be there. They showed clips of the entries and I found Sweden being prescribed for wellness very intriguing because I never would've thought of prescribing a country for mental wellness.
Thursday Awards Show
I had gone to the Thursday Awards Show where they were doing the Creative Strategy Lions. There were so many campaigns that were interesting to me, but one that really stuck out to me is the Dove R/eal Reviews because it took real reviews from women and had them read out a review they left to show the authenticity and regain the trust of consumers online. As a consumer this would incline me to purchase the product more because it displays the Dove brand is trying to keep it real with their consumers, which is the end goal to help bridge the trust gap.
