Final Day at the Beaches

Today was the final day of the beaches, which is really sad to think that this study abroad experience is starting to come to an end. I don't think it's hit me until this moment of writing this blog how fast everything has gone by so I really want to take it all in and experience all there is to just be in the moment both today and tomorrow. We started out at Pinterest Beach to create fun journals with Adobe. I was partnered with Hannah which was really fun to see how our vibes were similar but different as well like going into this we talked about how we liked some of the green photos so in my head I was thinking maybe we can use the cooler tones like green, blue and purple but as we started looking it shifted to be more representative of summer with the palette of blue, green and red. Then I went to Creator Beach to listen to the Adobe Creative directors and more about the Adobe brand. I feel like after trying out some of the Adobe platforms at the different beaches I see how creative and useful it could be that I could see myself using it a lot more. Then I hit up Sport Beach for the final talk with Carmelo Anthony, Elle Duncan and Cooper Flagg, which was really cool to hear from the NBA Rookie of the Year because he's still so young and learning more about the territory that comes with being a professional athlete was really impactful to me because I'm young and still learning more and more everyday about what comes with the territory of my own career path. Lastly I went to the Thursday Awards Show and it was also really neat to see the entry's of the people who won lions, but the one that stuck out to me was the Lions Laureate where Jim Stengel received the award for marketing and his speech really created a moment with the audience where he explained a funny story about him tripping in 2003 after receiving a lion and then it breaking into pieces once he hit the ground engaged the audience and made them laugh. But what made his speech so impactful is that he had brought a card from his son and highlighted a part where his son said that he was proud of him and grateful to call him his dad, which not only stirred up emotions in Jim but in me too because we work really hard for our families which is really important and hearing that they acknowledge your success is really impactful.
